For the 2023 elections, Vote023.org a Nigerian NGO wanted to create a non-partisan campaign to drive the consciousness of Nigerians to go out and vote right.

With a population of over 213.4 million (2021), we knew we had the numbers, we just had to convince Nigerians to put it where it really mattered.

The Power in Numbers

Background:

Nigeria’s 2023 election was crucial to the country’s already threatened future. Nonetheless voter apathy was still high. In the last election in 2019, only about 11% of the country’s 213 million population voted. Vote023, a non-governmental and non-partisan voter education platform, wanted a campaign that would raise the stakes of participation in the upcoming election.

Insight:

Surprisingly, non-critical activities in the country have ridiculously high numbers when it comes to national participation.

Idea:

We took the data from these non-critical activities, turned it on its head to create a heartfelt and urgent outdoor campaign.
